Challenges

Despite its potential, Wird faced several challenges in its initial design. Teachers needed an intuitive and efficient way to create and manage contests, while students required a seamless and engaging user experience to track their performance. Additionally, the platform needed to cater to a diverse user base across various countries, each with unique educational standards and requirements. Ensuring ease of use, accessibility, and motivation for both teachers and students was critical to Wird’s success.

Solutions

To address these challenges, we redesigned Wird with a user-centered approach. The Admin Panel was revamped to provide a straightforward, efficient interface for teachers to customize contests, monitor student progress, and manage group activities. We introduced visual aids such as diagrams and tables to simplify data interpretation. For students, the mobile app was enhanced to offer an engaging, intuitive experience with easy performance tracking and competitive features. These improvements not only made the platform more accessible and user-friendly but also significantly boosted engagement and performance among participants.

The Process

1. Research

2. Ideate

3. Design

4. Prototype

1. Research

In the research phase, we conducted extensive user interviews and surveys with teachers and students to understand their needs and pain points. We also analyzed user behavior data from the existing platform to identify key areas for improvement. This comprehensive approach ensured that our redesign would address real user challenges and enhance the overall user experience.

2. Ideate

During the ideation phase, we brainstormed various solutions based on our research findings. We generated multiple concepts for improving the Admin Panel and student app, focusing on usability, engagement, and accessibility. Collaborative workshops with stakeholders helped us refine these ideas and prioritize features that would have the most significant impact.

3. Design

The design phase involved creating high-fidelity mockups that brought our wireframes to life. We focused on a clean, modern aesthetic that aligned with Wird’s educational purpose. Consistent visual elements, intuitive navigation, and engaging graphics were incorporated to enhance the user experience for both teachers and students.

4. Prototype

In the prototyping phase, we developed interactive prototypes of the redesigned Admin Panel and student app. These prototypes allowed us to conduct usability testing and gather valuable feedback from users. Iterative testing and refinement ensured that the final design was both functional and delightful to use.

Summary

The redesign of Wird App was a comprehensive project that focused on improving usability and engagement for teachers and students alike. By leveraging user research, ideation, wireframing, design, and prototyping, we created a platform that is intuitive, engaging, and accessible. The successful implementation of our solutions has led to increased satisfaction, participation, and performance across the board, solidifying Wird’s role in enhancing the educational experience.
